MODmobiles designs and builds original mobile sculpture artwork. This artistic style was pioneered by artist Alexander Calder in the early 1900s.
MODmobiles is a small team consisting of artists and a mechanical engineer creating modern and post-modern style mobiles in every shape, size, and color. Our mobiles are made of the best materials, like steel, aluminum and wood, and are finished with the best in powder-coatings and industrial enamels. Our design team is trained in sculpture and engineering to guarantee the finest design and balance. You'll find a lot of mobiles at other sites made of cardboard and paper, or painted with spraypaint; that's not the MODmobiles way.

Do you mainly sell mobiles you’ve already designed or do you do mostly custom commission work?
We specialize in designing custom mobiles for clients. We also offer "ready-made" mobiles in our store. You might find just what you're looking for in the store, or it may give you ideas for a custom mobile.
My company wants to send out small mobiles to our clients. Can you include our logo and mass produce?

How do you ship the mobiles? Do they come fully assembled?
We use the U.S. Postal Service, and sometimes Fedex or DHL if faster or bulk international shipping is needed. Most mobiles come fully assembled, though sometimes bigger ones need to be unhooked in one or two locations in order to ship more safely and economically. Really large mobiles may have several re-connects, and instructions will be provided. For REALLY big installations, we offer onsite consultation and installation.
